Does Linux knowledge make money? The answer may be yes. I'm very grateful to be one; nowadays many firms ask for a change on their systems to Linux. Mostly e-mail servers, file servers, web caching and firewalls. How about your experiences with Linux?

Linux knowledge makes me rich. Uhm, not really rich. But I agree that having Linux knowledge can bring us some money.
But I wouldn't rush to suggest my clients to migrate all their machines to Linux, because, wow, it requires lots of effort. Something as simple as right-click, share in Windows becomes a horrible nightmare of editing /etc/samba/smb.conf & /etc/init.d/smb restart (Never tried the GUI yet).
If they really want to migrate to Linux, I'd prefer that they also have their own IT people with enough knowledge.
However I have to admit that Windows brings me more money than Linux, despite the fact that I prefer Linux, and would like to be able to do development under Linux. :(
Agree, I would rather suggest them to use Linux as replacements to their servers instead of the whole thing. They're still using MS Windows as front ends / workstations.
